As we move into summer and hopefully better weather, time to think about what to do on the holidays. A music festival is always a good option and, as I have mentioned previously, there are a number that keep the memory of Francis O’Neill alive. Ronan O’Kelly has made the following clip from a visit to one of these festivals, this time in the place of O’Neill’s birth: Trailibane, Co. Cork.
It looks like they had a good time despite the bad weather. My own visit to the area was blessed with beautiful weather and I highly recommend a visit to anyone interested in O’Neill’s story or Irish music in general, particularly if you can make the festival. The website with more details is here.
