Chief O’Neill: First Excerpt

I would like to start a new series on the Chief O’Neill blog. The next few posts will excerpt portions of the forthcoming book. Some of these excerpts have already been published elsewhere. This first piece was published by the excellent Celtic Junction Arts Review, based in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Each section of the novel uses the name of an O’Neill tune for a title. The following is titled Whistle And I’ll Wait For You and takes place after Francis O’Neill has become established as a policeman and is becoming known for a very unusual kind of detective work…
